Don’t scroll past, I’m not saying you need to put down that pie! When I say holiday diet, I don’t mean you need to go on one when all of this delicious food is out. If I said that I would be just about the biggest hypocrite on the face of this earth. When I say diet, I mean it in the sense of what we shouldn’t eat too much of or maybe not at all. But just this once, I’m going to say that you should take it as more of a suggestion than an actual rule.

None of us like to hear that D**t word around this time of the year. I know that I’ve already put on a few extra pounds from Thanksgiving that will only be added to in a couple of weeks. The holidays are notorious for causing people to gain weight, which is one of the reasons that the most popular New Year’s resolutions is to lose some of it again. I get it though, who can resist all of those incredible cookies that Aunt Marge only makes this one time a year or that pie that you swear never smelled so good?

As with anything in life, everything is fine in moderation. Granted this time of year isn’t really known for moderation, but as long as you don’t go too overboard with the intake it really isn’t going to be too bad for most of you. Having that self-control is key, though. If you know where I can find some extra, please let me know because I don’t know how I’m going to get through this month without eating an entire tray of cookies just by myself. The entire month tends to feel like a cheat day, but that can quickly become dangerous. Trust me, I’ve been there.
