It is more uncommon for a person to have never gotten into a car accident than it is for them to have been in one. While we hope that your biggest experience with a car crash is nothing more than a fender bender, we know that this is wishful thinking. Car accidents kill far too many people every year and although we can’t do anything to prevent this, we certainly will do all we can to make sure that you recover from it well.

Car accidents seem to happen more during the holiday season. Perhaps we just hear about them more because it is always so upsetting when someone is killed or seriously hurt around this time of the year. Whatever the truth is, the fact remains that between the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping, people drinking to celebrate the New Year and then driving, and just the normal accidents can really take a toll on some of us. These types of accidents are often the most upsetting and they can affect a person’s mental health as well as their physical health. Both of these are very important and can be severely impacted around this time of the year even without a car accident to contend with.

If you are out driving, please do all you can to be safe. Make sure that you are aware of your surroundings, that you have the right tires, that you don’t try to drive through snow and ice if you don’t have to, and that someone always knows where you are going and when you should be there by. Far too often we hear stories about people who were in car accidents that ended up more hurt because no one knew that they were missing. Please don’t let yourself become one of those stories that makes everyone cry. Always be proactive and preemptive in your treatment of these types of situations.

If you have been in a car accident, then come into DiBella Chiropractic for a spinal adjustment and see what else we can do to help you get back to your old self.
